This was posted on the Arch Forums (putting it here in case people didn't see):
Dear Players of ArchMC,
TL;DR: I am quitting ArchMC & Minecraft/Eaglercraft - If you see me again it will be on a different account.
If you don’t know me (I mostly play Survival and have not been on much for the past few months), my username is VoxelBreaker, and I have been playing ArchMC for quite some time. I became well-known last summer, when me and my friend 200iq became the richest in the server. After the cancellation of the economy reset, I started grinding money again, and now hold the record for peak money on Survival with $222 million.
I have spent countless hours over the past year and a half playing ArchMC, and I would first like to thank everyone who helped me, supported me, or even just talked to me throughout my time here. It has been a pleasure to get to know many of you. When I started ArchMC all the way back in late 2023, I never expected how far it would take me and how much it would teach me.
I have logged the most hours out of everyone in Arch Survival (it doesn’t look like it because there was a bug back in July/August 2024 that reset the hours of everyone who played), and for a while, I was extremely addicted to Eagler & ArchMC. This has gotten so much better over the past few months, and now when I play it is because I want to, not because I feel forced to grind or log in to help people with projects I promised them I would help with.
With that being said, I am quitting ArchMC and Minecraft/Eaglercraft as a whole. Because of the amount of time I’ve been putting into Arch (even though it has gotten better), my grades are lowering (albeit not that much), my sleep schedule is awful, and my social life is nearly nonexistent. I’m a rising junior in high school, and I believe that it would be in my best interest to leave ArchMC behind.
I’ve made so many friends during my time, and while there are far too many to thank, I am going to thank just a few of the ones who have had the most impact in my experience. If your name isn’t here don’t worry - there are countless people who have had a lasting impact on me and I appreciate all of you.
200iq: I know he probably won’t see this, but 200iq was my best friend on Arch. He and I grinded money from September to December, and we did basically everything together. He quit because his school blocked Arch, but he might be back one day.
Doitsu: He also probably won’t see this, but Doitsu was so much fun to be around and do projects with. His recreation of spawn was and still is one of the most impressive projects ever done on Arch (It contains a replica of the Survival, Lifesteal, Duels, and KitPvP spawns).
NavyEnd2648: I met Navy before he became a moderator, and he was one of my best friends after a lot of my OG friends quit. We’ve worked on several things together, such as finding every armor trim and Regalia.
retrowave, W4TER, and James: These are some of the best people on Arch, especially in the Discord server. They are all very nice (unless you’re being annoying) and are working to make Arch a better place.
With all that being said, I still may return in a year or two. If I do, it will be on a different account. This is the end of the VoxelBreaker account. I am not going to give the account away, so please don’t ask. If I ever create a new account, I will announce it on this one - don't fall for any imposters please. I may log in once a month to see what the state of the server is like, but not often or consistently.
This decision was neither quick nor easy, and there are a variety of additional reasons that I have neither the time nor patience to explain, so please don’t inquire too much. Just know that this is a decision I have been thinking through for many months - I have my reasons. Please don’t try to get me to stay. This is a final decision. I will be inactive in the Discord as well, currently I cannot access my account (I might try if I can get a different computer but I got in a lot of trouble with my school for looking for proxies).
I will likely be back to Arch at some point - I just need to learn to manage my time better and manage schoolwork, my personal life, and my online life at the same time.
Also, to the staff of ArchMC: Thank you for all the work you have done for ArchMC. I know that most of the time people complain to you and about you, but you are truly the backbone of Arch. Without your hard and diligent work, there would be no Arch.
Best regards to everyone, and have an amazing day.
Goodbye,
-Voxel
